“Forced to stay off school with severe illness…”

[ezcol_1third]imgres[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_1third]

During the summer of 2014 Sickholiday.com received over 40 enquiries from guests staying at the Sahara Beach Resort in Skanes, Tunisia.

One of these affected was Master O who stayed at the Sahara Beach Resort in September 2014 on a family holiday. The 16 year old was accompanied by his 2 siblings and mother, who were also to fall ill. Around one week into the two week holiday Master O started suffering with severe diarrhoea & Vomiting, which forced him to stay in the hotel room and in bed.[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_1third_end]Master M had to visit a pharmacy and was given tablets which had little effect. On the return to the UK he was taken to the GP where a stool sample was taken, the results showed that he was suffering with Salmonella. As a result environmental health had to visit the household & Master M was forced to stay off school to avoid spreading the illness. The symptoms lasted around 3-4 in total.[/ezcol_1third_end]
