The Rehana Royal Beach Resort can be found in the Nabq Bay area of Sharm El Sheikh. This all inclusive Egyptian hotel has man facilities aimed at keeping families entertained, including its own private aqua park. Although promising to be the ideal destination for couples and families looking for a well earned break, it is an unfortunate fact that the Rehana Royal Beach Resort is the subject of some very poor reports of holiday illness.

Cases of Salmonella food poisoning have been reported at the Rehana Royal Beach Resort Resort. Some of the cases were so serious the holidaymakers were forced to to stay in hospital. Unclean utensils and generally poor hygiene standards were discovered to be some of the causes. Others included cases of faecal contamination in swimming pools and under cooked buffet food.

Mr. R travelled to The Rehana Resort in September 2014. He suffered with violent diarrhoea and sickness for over a month. His illness was caused by salmonella poisoning. Salmonella poisoning is generally caused by the hotel serving undercooked food (mainly meat or eggs).
Mr. R visited the hotel pharmacy where the local medication didn’t even help the symptoms. On his return to the UK he visited the hospital where they tested samples. He then spent 3 weeks recovering from the infection.
