Many visitors to the Regency Plaza Hotel experience a good quality of safety and hygiene, however, there are still unfortunate cases of avoidable holiday illness reported.   With reported symptoms including diarrhoea and vomiting, some visitors have reported low standards of food hygiene with food being served warm and undercooked.  Dirty and grimy looking swimming pools have also been reported, perfect environments for bacteria such as Campylobacter and Cryptosporidium to spread.

Mrs. J had confirmed food poisoning after staying for a week at The Regency Plaza Hotel. Upon her return she needed treatment at a hospital as the symptoms were so severe. Miss J fell ill on the last day of the holiday, and had to take 3 days off work due to the illness as her symptoms lasted for a total of 8 days.

She reports dirty crockery, cutlery and that staff failed to clean the food serving areas sufficiently. She believes that the cause of her Food Poisoning was general poor hygiene and food being under cooked.

Mrs. J also reported other guests suffering with similar symptoms.
